Giving Back to St. John
In January of 2009, St. John’s Center for the Homeless put out a public challenge for help in keeping their doors open. Stewart and Associates heard their call and rose to meet their challenge. They vowed to help raise public awareness by helping to create a new image for the organization, working to update their booth at the annual Louisville Home Garden and Remodeling Show, and working with the John’s to create the Society of John’s, a fundraising society focused on humor.
In 2008, an average of 185 men a day visited the shelter and social service center; 2,303 men visited the shelter 67,873 times.

A Phoney Headline
Stewart and Associates will forgo their rotary dial telephone system this April and upgrade to the 22-ounce Polycom SoundPoint IP 330.
Designer Brian Brooks says, “the new phone system is a designer’s dream. It features 3-way calling, a sleek black and silver body, an LCD display, excellent sound quality, and a full duplex IEEE 1329 Type-1 compliant speakerphone with acoustic clarity technology. It is so clear and noise free, it feels like the conversation is happening face to face. And I can select my own ring tone.”
Another key feature is caller ID. Employees will no longer unknowingly pick up the phone to the voice of a disgruntled client, ink cartridge telemarketer, or pesky spouse. When the number is displayed, ignore can easily be selected without the other line knowing.
In other news, webcams have been added to each computer station for those employees not quite up to walking to the 9:00 am meetings on the second floor.
